Simona Halep officially retired from tennis after her defeat on February 4, 2025, in Cluj-Napoca against Lucia Bronzetti.

However, the Romanian announced that she will play her farewell match on June 13, 2026, in Cluj during the Sports Festival.

The format of the match and her opponent are still unknown at this time.
