Halys Eliminated in First Round in Brussels by Basilashvili
Quentin Halys made his debut at the ATP 250 in Brussels against the Georgian qualifier Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Unfortunately for the Frenchman, the first set started poorly for him with a break conceded as early as the third game. Despite 4 break-back opportunities when his opponent was serving for the set, the Georgian converted his 6th set point to win the first set 6-4.
Halys was the first to create break opportunities in the second set, with 2 chances, but failed to convert them. It was Basilashvili who broke immediately afterward and was never troubled on his serve again.
He wins with a score of 6-4, 6-4 and will face Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the next round.
