"He wrote to me at least ten times, maybe he's desperate," Kalinskaya reveals Rune's flirting attempts

Anna Kalinskaya dropped a bombshell about Holger Rune in an interview published yesterday by the media outlet First&Red.

The Russian player, ranked 32nd in the world and notably the ex-girlfriend of Jannik Sinner and Nick Kyrgios, revealed that she had been approached at least "ten times" by Rune on social media.

"Tennis players used to approach me more before. Now I'm a bit older. But some of them have no chance, they don't need to write (laughs).

Someone wrote to me at least ten times before giving up. It was Holger Rune. He writes to everyone. He deserves it. He's too self-centered. Maybe he's desperate, but he's not the only one," Kalinskaya stated.

Rune quickly responded to these remarks on X, mentioning a misunderstanding:

"Ha ha ha. Maybe we have cultural differences that make Anna think a comment on a story is an invitation to a date. If I want to go on a date, I ask. Don't worry."

Earlier in August, the Dane had already been called out by another Russian player, Veronika Kudermetova, who revealed that she had received messages from the world No. 11 before he realized she was married.
