Becker attacks Sinner and Alcaraz's rivals: "But where the hell are they?"
Boris Becker doesn't mince words: why do other top players seem content with quarterfinals and semifinals, while Sinner and Alcaraz tear through everything in their path? A critique he shared on his podcast:
"Eighth consecutive Grand Slam win for Alcaraz or Sinner: that's an incredible statistic. But where is everyone else? I'm talking about Zverev, Draper, Fritz, de Minaur, Ruud, Rune, Medvedev, and Rublev. They seem satisfied.
For them, quarterfinals or semifinals are fine. But it's not good enough. Djokovic has beaten Fritz eleven times. What kind of gap exists, in sporting terms? To what extent are the others strong or less strong? I'm talking about everyone."
For reference, Sinner and Alcaraz have together won all the Grand Slams this season, as well as last year: US Open 2024, Australian Open 2024, 2025, and Wimbledon 2025 for Sinner. Roland-Garros 2024, 2025, Wimbledon 2024, and US Open 2025 for Alcaraz.
