"He's one of the most dominant of all time," Navratilova reflects on Swiatek's semifinal

Highly engaged in the tennis media world, legend Navratilova does not hesitate to share her opinions on the new generation of players. In an interview with the BBC, the former world No. 1 commented on the one-sided match between Swiatek and Bencic (6-2, 6-0). According to her, the performance delivered by the Polish player is one of the most remarkable in tennis history:
"It's the most dominant match she's ever played on grass, but it's also one of the most dominant of all time. The fact she did it on grass, where she had never been in this position before, is even more impressive. She never let go of the throttle.
She never doubted. She was in complete control and never let up. Even if Bencic's injury hadn't been there, I don't think it would have made a difference.
Iga was just hitting harder and her return of serve was better. She scored a 10 out of 10 today in all areas. But especially in return of serve. I don't think anything Bencic could have done would have made a difference today."
Praise from the former player with 18 Grand Slam titles. A grass court enthusiast, Navratilova holds the record at Wimbledon: 9 titles in 12 finals, including 9 consecutive appearances from 1982 to 1990.
