"His resources are depleting," Kafelnikov analyzes Djokovic's situation
In an interview with First & Red media, Yevgeny Kafelnikov discussed Novak Djokovic's current situation. He stated: "The most important thing is that I read online that he himself claims he's not playing to prove anything to anyone, but simply for the audience.
He wants to play for the audience he has gained over the years, so as not to disappoint them and to give them the opportunity to see him again. This is obviously very important, but I repeat, his resources are undoubtedly depleting.
And, of course, the Novak Djokovic we saw at the peak of his form all these years... well, it's unlikely we'll see him again."
Djokovic will play the Paris and Athens tournaments and possibly the ATP Finals at the end of the 2025 season before attempting another chance at the Australian Open for a potential 25th Grand Slam.
