Humbert Defeats Korda in the First Round of Basel
Ugo Humbert made his debut in Basel this Wednesday against Sebastian Korda. Selected for the French Davis Cup team, the Frenchman is seeking good results this indoor season.
Humbert was the first to face a break point in the 7th game, but it was he who broke his opponent in the 8th game and took the first set 6-3.
The second set started well for the Frenchman thanks to an early break. He even went on to lead 5-2, but had a scare with a first break back from Korda.
However, he managed to hold the service game he needed to win 6-3, 6-4. In the next round, Humbert will face Valentin Vacherot or Taylor Fritz.
