Victorious over Kasatkina in straight sets (6-1, 6-3), Raducanu claimed her first win against the Australian in four encounters, and her first in Strasbourg. After her match, she emphasized the progress she has made on clay:

"I think I've made progress in that regard. I played 3 great matches in Rome and the 4th, I played against an opponent who was better than me that day. I am really proud to have reached this level here. But I think spending more time on clay, I'm going to like it even more.

I am building my relationship with the surface. I played against Daria, who is a great opponent, very experienced in general and particularly on this surface. I am really proud of my performance, my aggressiveness, and my ability to stay focused."

In the second round, she will face the American, Collins.
