Daniil Medvedev was playing the Vienna tournament in 2023 as the defending champion. Defeated by Jannik Sinner in the final with a score of 7-6, 4-6, 6-3, the Russian chose to be ironic during the trophy ceremony.

During his speech, he stated: "Apparently I can't defend my titles anywhere when I've already won them. I'll try to do it here next time but already in Paris or elsewhere."

Medvedev has never yet won the same tournament twice.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
