"I had asked for an evening match because I needed to get used to the heat," reveals Zverev after his victory
Alexander Zverev made a successful start in Cincinnati against Nishesh Basavareddy. A semifinalist just a few days ago in Toronto, the German player reveals he asked the American organizers for a favor.
"I had asked for an evening match because I just came from Toronto, where it’s much colder, and I needed a few days to adjust to the heat and the conditions.
I’m happy with my win and the way I played."
He will face Brandon Nakashima in the next round.
