I have never experienced anything strange with fans," Sinner reacts to spectator who attempted to open his bag
After his victory against Alexander Bublik, a surreal scene unfolded where a spectator at the US Open attempted to open Jannik Sinner’s bag to help themselves.
An incident that sparked reactions across the tennis world and is not insignificant, reminiscent of the spectator who had stolen a child’s cap that Kamil Majchrzak had given them.
The world number one reflected on the moment: "To be honest, I have never experienced anything strange with the fans. At that moment, I immediately checked if anything had been stolen, because I don’t just carry my rackets in my bag, but many other things.
For example, my phone or my wallet, I don’t know. For my part, I feel that security always does an excellent job, especially inside the court, where they are much more present.
In these kinds of tournaments, they do an incredible job to make players feel safe, even in unusual situations like the one I experienced.
