Speaking to the New York Post, he admitted to lacking confidence: "It's a mix of what we do in training and how the recent matches have gone, which haven't been great.
I haven't won many matches, let's say, these past two or three months, partly due to a brief absence, but since coming back, it hasn't allowed me to build confidence.
I also feel like I'm missing a lot of shots, hitting a lot with the frame on my forehand, even though that's supposed to be my best shot. It's not a pleasant feeling.
Honestly, I haven't been playing with much confidence lately. Will I try to come back, train even better, more intensely? Yes, of course.
And am I motivated? Yes, but in matches, I'm not too confident at the moment.
