I hope you'll be ready next year": Alcaraz's message to Sinner after their Masters final
To close out the 2025 ATP tour season, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz treated the spectators in Turin to a very high-level clash.
More consistent and more lucid in the decisive moments, the world No. 2 ultimately gained the upper hand, winning a second consecutive ATP Finals title after two hours of battle (7-6, 7-5).
The two champions, who lit up the year with their performances, then gave speeches filled with mutual respect.
Alcaraz: "I am very happy with the level I played at today. I just played against a player who hasn't lost indoors for two years. That shows what a great player you are.
You and your team always do an incredible job. After every defeat, even though you don't have many, you come back even stronger.
I want to say that you have had an exceptional year. It's time for you to get some rest. I hope you'll be ready for next year, because I will be. I hope we will play even more finals against each other."
Sinner: "Carlos, you have had an incredible season, what you are doing is impressive. You fully deserve the world No. 1 spot. You are clearly a player I admire, a source of motivation. I need that.
Every training session makes sense because of that. All the fans are very happy to watch you play, you are the most energetic player on the tour.
Keep it up, I wish you all the best. I know you still have one tournament left to play, but a well-deserved rest awaits you too. I hope to see you again next year, with, I hope, some very big battles between us. Thank you very much. Congratulations to your team.
