I knew I could be part of the Top 30," Moutet discusses his progress
Corentin Moutet is currently in the best form of his career. Ranked 32nd in the world as of today, the Frenchman spoke about his progress during a press conference at the Rolex Paris Masters.
"I think this ranking better reflects my game. I knew I was capable of it, but today, to be among the top 30 players, you have to fight to play a lot of matches, you need a lot of experience to beat the best players, and that hasn't been my case in recent years, for various reasons.
I knew I was capable of it, but I had to improve and there was room for improvement. I managed to adapt my game and I am proud to have achieved it with my team.
It's a means to reach a goal. I want to aim higher. When I looked at the Top 30 players, I knew I could be part of it, but of course, I had to do my best to achieve that goal, and I think it's normal that I am now part of the Top 30.
