I like to go out because I'm 22 years old," Alcaraz's response on his trips to Ibiza
Winner of the US Open and his sixth Grand Slam at 22, Carlos Alcaraz continues to make tennis history and break records for precocity.
Interviewed by various media outlets following his New York victory, the world No. 1 discussed his taste for nightlife and partying with the newspaper El Pais. The Spaniard is indeed known for unwinding after Grand Slams by heading to Ibiza with his close ones:
"I think that's why we work, suffer, and spend so much time away from home—so that we can then have our own moments and have fun. Everyone enjoys it in their own way.
Yes, personally, I like to go out because I'm 22 years old. Who hasn't done that at this age? Who hasn't enjoyed themselves at 22?
I like to spend quality time with my family and friends, whether it's partying or with more relaxed plans. It's about having a good time at home so that I can then be motivated during tournaments.
