Coco Gauff hasn’t won a title in the clay-court tournaments played so far, but the American still has high ambitions for Roland-Garros.
Boosted by her finals appearances in Madrid and Rome, Gauff stated in a press conference that she aims to make a strong showing at Porte d’Auteuil, where she was already a finalist in 2022:
"This clay season has given me a lot of confidence and motivation to take that final step. They often say the third time’s the charm, so I hope it happens in Paris. But I’ll have to work on a lot of things this week.
Overall, I think I can do great things at Roland-Garros. I feel like I played two finals without being at my best level, so if I can reach it there, I believe in my chances of achieving something big.
