I'm very happy to have him by my side," Raducanu's words on her new collaboration with Roig, former coach of Nadal

In excellent form during recent tournaments, Raducanu hopes to maintain her momentum by adding Nadal’s former coach, Francisco Roig, to her team. The 57-year-old worked with the Spaniard from 2005 to 2022 alongside Toni and later Carlos Moya.
"It's going really well. This is my second day with him here, but I spent a few days in London before coming. He obviously has a lot of experience. I'm very happy to keep working with him and to have him by my side.
I'm working on the quality of my shots and striving to be more consistent. Against the best players, that’s what it takes. You have to improve. I’ll try to be very patient, but I hope over time, things will get better," she said in an interview shared by *Tennis Up To Date*.
The 22-year-old player then shared her current mindset and her goals for the rest of the season:
"I’m really happy to be here in Cincinnati, and overall, I feel good. Last year, I didn’t play much after Wimbledon, but I have some points to defend in Seoul. It’s great to have so much time to play with and not much to defend.
I think the goal for the rest of the season is to be seeded for Australia in January and, honestly, beyond results, it’s just about improving my feel on the court—feeling like I have fewer gaps, that I can step onto the court and compete with almost anyone. That’s the goal, but I think it’ll take a lot more time to get there.
