Bublik on the Masters: "I would be upset with myself if I relaxed now"

In a boiling atmosphere in Paris, Alexander Bublik surprised Taylor Fritz, the No. 4 seed, by delivering a bold and inspired match.
"I think I used all the opportunities I had, except in the first set. I was very lucky in the tie-break. Fritz wasn't as clutch as usual. I guess we are in different positions now. He is going to Turin and I am still fighting to be an alternate."
Indeed, the Kazakh player did not hide his motivation as the prestigious ATP Finals in Turin approach.
"Maybe this is the first time in my career that I have a major milestone really close to me. If I said 'I'm tired' or 'I'm injured,' I would be upset with myself afterwards."
And now? While qualification remains uncertain (he must win the Paris tournament), Bublik's message is clear: he wants to have no regrets.
