Injured in the hip, de Minaur withdraws from UTS in Hong Kong
Scheduled to take part in the UTS edition in Hong Kong on October 14 and 15, Alex de Minaur has just withdrawn.
Affected by a hip injury, the Australian pulled out despite having traveled there and trained. He explains: "I was very eager to participate in the first UTS event held in Hong Kong.
However, it seems I haven't recovered quickly enough physically, as I was already feeling the pain even before training on the court. After discussing with my team, I had no choice but to withdraw and consult my doctors for a full assessment.
I was impressed by the excellent venue chosen for the Hong Kong stage and by the exceptional lineup, which undoubtedly promises an incredibly exciting tournament for everyone.
I hope everyone fully enjoys the competition, and I look forward to returning to Hong Kong soon to give you a great show."
