Insolite - Between Fritz and Dimitrov, it's a duel of superstitions
It's no secret that every player has his or her own little habits for staying at the top of the game. Faced with the demands of a professional tennis career, some players are happy to take refuge in repetitive behavior. Rafael Nadal, for example, has been following the same routines in his matches for 20 years. But he's not the only one.
There's Grigor Dimitrov, for example, who reads his horoscope every morning, and Taylor Fritz, who seems to have made a habit of eating at the same restaurant every night since arriving in Rome. As Morgan Riddle, the American champion's partner, put it: "The face of a man who forces us to dine in the same place every night because he's getting superstitious" (Instagram).
With the two men set to face off in the Round of 16, all that remains to be seen is which of these two superstitious champions will continue his journey in Italy.
