Insolite - Carballes Baena's anger at Norrie in Metz!

Insolite - Carballes Baena's anger at Norrie in Metz!

Roberto Carballes Baena wasn't happy at all after losing to Cameron Norrie in the first round of the Moselle Open on Monday evening. The Spaniard let him know as he shook his hand at the net.

Apparently, the reason for this was that the Brit cheered himself on several times, shouting "Vamos" while looking in the direction of his opponent (see video below).

Carballes Baena, very annoyed, to Norrie: "You spent your time saying 'Vamos, Vamos' or 'Come on' while looking me in the eye."

Norrie to Carballes Baena: "I was playing so badly, I was just looking for solutions to solve this. Come on, stop..."

Asked in a post-match interview, Norrie made no attempt to avoid the subject: "I was just trying to galvanize myself, and he wasn't happy because I said 'Vamos' a few times. So I stopped doing that and started playing better.

That was on the court, so all's well. Roberto is a great competitor and he fought very hard today. And I managed to get out of it, being a bit lucky in the third set."
