A few hours after Gasquet, Rafael Nadal announced his retirement at the end of the Davis Cup finals.

When asked about it, 'Richie' paid tribute to Nadal in his own way: "When we're 50, I'll call him up and try to play a match again. I'm going to stay in shape and try to beat him.
