Insolite - Medvedev's ironic comeback on clay
Although he's beginning to tame the surface a little better, Daniil Medvedev is still far from fully at ease on clay.
So, on his return to clay and the French Open for the second time this season, the Russian couldn't resist ironizing about the situation.
Ahead of his first-round clash with Hijikata on Saturday, Medvedev evoked his feelings about returning to the orange surface with a sense of humour.
In a publication posted on social networks, he posted a rather equivocal photo (see below) accompanied by the quote: "My feelings about playing twice on clay at Roland-Garros this year."
