Isner warns tour: "Mpetshi Perricard is going to be a nightmare for a lot of players".
John Isner, retired since last year, is an active participant in the Nothing Major podcast, where he regularly gives his opinion on tennis news.
The American recently mentioned the progress of Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, saying he was impressed by the Frenchman's talent and devastating serve, when he shared a training session with him at Roland-Garros :
"I remember thinking that his backhand was very bad, but he could hit very hard on the forehand and his serve was obviously huge."
And as for the future of Mpetshi Perricard, who has risen to 31st in the world this year, Isner is rather positive: "It's not surprising what he's achieved this year.
Winning an ATP 500 is a big result.
If he stays healthy, he's going to be a nightmare for a lot of players in the years to come."
