It's an unfortunate series of coincidences, there is no resentment," says Sinner's former physio
Giacomo Naldi, former physiotherapist for Jannik Sinner who was dismissed following the doping case that targeted him, has spoken out. He is back on the ATP tour as he now works with Francesco Passaro.
In an interview shared by Punto de Break, he states: "Even during the process, we always maintained good relations. I always behaved properly and never sought attention.
These are my first official statements since everything happened. I occasionally heard remarks taken out of context, which generated hate and controversy on social media.
Unlike others, I never said anything about what happened, and I believe my honesty has been evident and appreciated. I spoke with Sinner, and it was cordial; we shared private matters.
Beyond all this, the human connection remains after a case that involved us, and it was just an unfortunate series of coincidences, we are aware of that.
I saw Cahill, who has always been very kind, and I crossed paths with Ferrara (Sinner's fitness trainer). I come from the basketball world and always tried to instill a team spirit in the Sinner team, and that's one of the things I'm most grateful for.
Even though our collaboration has ended, there is no resentment. We can't change what happened, but we must move forward. Life goes on.
