Jannik Sinner qualified for the quarter-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters by defeating Francisco Cerundolo this Thursday. However, despite this qualification, the Italian appeared physically diminished again during the match.

Something he later confirmed. He states: "I hope this will give me the necessary confidence to start well tomorrow. Every match is different. We'll see.

I hope to recover physically, that's my priority. We'll see. In any case, today, it was a great match and a fine performance from me. Tomorrow, I have a very tough opponent.

I have to play at 100%. I hope I'm capable of that. We're all expecting a great match. I'm trying to manage it as best I can, but it's clear that I'm not at 100%. We'll see.

I felt that today's match was less physical, which is a good thing. I'm happy to have won it in two sets, in less than an hour and a half. I will sleep very well tonight."
