Ivo Karlovic has officially retired
Absent from the ATP circuit since 2021, Ivo Karlovic has confirmed what seemed to have become inevitable. At 44 years old, the Croatian officially announced his retirement from professional tennis on Wednesday, 21st February 2024.
In 24 years of career (1997-2021), the giant from Zagreb (2 meters 11) won 8 ATP titles, competed in 19 finals, served 13,728 aces, hit the 2nd fastest service in history (251 km/h) behind John Isner (253 km/h), reached the 14th global position (2008), played in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon (2009), defeated Federer once and Djokovic twice.
