Jacquet one match away from the main draw of Roland-Garros
Victorious over Napolitano after a three-set match (6-3, 2-6, 6-0), Jacquet has qualified for the third round of the Roland-Garros qualifiers.
The Frenchman managed to find the resources to clearly pull ahead in the third set after his opponent equalized. Effective on his break points (6/9), the world No. 151 made quick work of the Italian in the final set (6-0) and won the match in 1 hour and 32 minutes. At 24 years old, he had defeated Japan's Daniel in the previous round. He has improved compared to last year when he was defeated in the first round by Tunisia's Dougaz.
This season, Jacquet reached the finals of the Abidjan 2 and Santo Domingo tournaments. In Grand Slam tournaments, he was defeated in the first round of the Australian Open by Nishioka.
For a spot in the main draw of the Parisian Grand Slam, he will face Austria's Rodionov.
