"Jannik has incredible control of his body," Zverev sets up Vienna final against Sinner
Alexander Zverev has qualified for the final of the Vienna tournament. The German defeated Lorenzo Musetti (6-4, 7-5) after benefiting from Tallon Griekspoor's withdrawal in the previous round.
The world number 3 will face Jannik Sinner for the first time since the Australian Open final at the start of the season and shared the keys to the upcoming match this Sunday in the Austrian city.
"I am very happy to be in the final, especially since at the start of the tournament I didn't know if I would be able to step onto the court. I won my first match 7-6 in the third set (against Fearnley), then I regained my confidence.
I am very happy to be here. Against Jannik (Sinner), you have to play your best tennis, otherwise you won't have any opportunity. We'll see how it goes. As for the preparation for the final, it's quite early (at 2 PM), so I won't have a lot of time.
It's simple, Jannik (Sinner) plays at the same speed as before, but he doesn't make any mistakes. In every situation, he always manages to track the ball well. As for his footwork, he is one of the best players in the world at that level, maybe even the best.
He has incredible control of his body and always arrives with the right balance. Carlos (Alcaraz) is the fastest, but in terms of positioning to hit the ball and footwork, I think Jannik is number one," Zverev assured Punto de Break.
