Keys and Collins withdraw from the Doha tournament
The first WTA 1000 of the year kicks off on February 9 in Doha. The world's best players are naturally on hand for the event.
With the exception of Madison Keys and Danielle Collins. The Australian Open winner has cited a thigh injury, making her the only member of the top 10 absent.
This absence will have no real impact on her ranking, as she only started her 2024 season in March, at Indian Wells, meaning she has no points to defend.
Collins' absence is due to a foot injury, and she won't be playing in Dubai the following week either.
