Keys dominates Potapova in her debut at Indian Wells

Successful return to competition for Madison Keys.

The world No. 5, who had not played since her triumph at the Australian Open last January, faced Anastasia Potapova in her opening match at Indian Wells.

With great mastery and control in her shots, the American left no chance for her opponent, losing her service game only once in the match.

Thus, in just over an hour of play and after a comfortable stroll in the second set, Keys secured her ticket to the third round.

She awaits the winner of the match between Elise Mertens and Kimberly Birrell.
