Khachanov and Bellucci Withdraw from ATP 250 Hangzhou Tournament

The second edition of the ATP 250 Hangzhou tournament will take place starting September 17 in China. While defending champion Marin Cilic will be present to attempt a title defense, Karen Khachanov has withdrawn from the tournament in recent hours.
The world number 10, who was set to be the tournament's top seed, will ultimately not be present. Defeated in the second round of the US Open by Kamil Majchrzak after leading two sets to zero (2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 in 4h31), the Russian is expected to rest ahead of the ATP 500 Beijing tournament, which takes place the following week.
Another player withdrawing from the Hangzhou tournament is Mattia Bellucci. The world number 65 was defeated in the second round of the US Open by Carlos Alcaraz and is postponing his next tournament appearance.
Among the players set to compete next week in the Chinese city: Andrey Rublev, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Bublik, and Corentin Moutet, who are expected to be the four top seeds. Adrian Mannarino and Arthur Cazaux are also entered, as is Matteo Berrettini, who has not played since Wimbledon.
