Kvitova Celebrated by Czech Tennis at the Golden Canary Ceremony
At the 2025 Czech Tennis Awards ceremony, Petra Kvitova was honored. Retired since the US Open, the former world number 2, who won two Grand Slam titles among others in her career, is now awaiting the arrival of her second child. In the meantime, the player who won 31 titles on the main tour has not been forgotten in her country.

During the Golden Canary ceremony (from the Czech 'Zlatý Kanár'), the former professional player, now 35 years old, received a bouquet of flowers, before being able to watch a compilation of the best moments of her career in a video shown in the room: "It was very nice, especially the way they edited the footage from my childhood.
Of course, at the moment, my hormones are playing even more tricks on me than usual, so it moved me even more. There was also a photo of my parents. They were so proud when I won Wimbledon for the first time. I am very grateful to them," Kvitova reacted to Tennis Up To Date.
During the evening, Jakub Mensik (Czech male player of the year), Linda Noskova (Czech female player of the year), Tereza Valentova (revelation of the year), and Katerina Siniakova (best doubles player of the year) were among those awarded for their performances throughout the 2025 season.
