Laver Cup - De Minaur and Paul withdraw, Cerundolo and Kokkinakis join the World team
It's a major blow for John McEnroe and the "World" team ahead of the next edition of the Laver Cup, scheduled for September 20-22.
While Alex De Minaur and Tommy Paul, respectively 11th and 13th in the world, were scheduled to join the team, it is Francisco Cerundolo, 31st, and Thanasi Kokkinakis, 78th, who are joining Fritz, Tabilo, Tiafoe and Shelton.
Faced with a European team more impressive than ever (Alcaraz, Medvedev, Nadal, Zverev, Ruud and Tsitsipas), McEnroe's men will have to pull off quite a feat if they are to retain their trophy in Berlin.
