Learner Tien Teases Coach Michael Chang: 'Not Many Videos From His Era'
Having scraped through to the Australian Open second round, Learner Tien continues his Grand Slam education. It was in Melbourne that he burst onto the scene for the wider public last year, reaching the round of 16 with a notable win over Daniil Medvedev.
“There Aren’t Many Videos From That Era”
Accompanied by Michael Chang for several months, Tien was asked in his press conference about watching footage of his coach’s 1989 Roland-Garros triumph.
With humor, he replied: “I’ve seen some of his matches, but there aren’t many videos from that era (laughs).”
