Legendary trainer Macci names the best forehand of all time
Although he no longer practices on the main circuit, Rick Macci is still an assiduous follower. Known for having coached a number of our sport's stars, including the Williams sisters, Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova, the technician continues to deliver his often well-informed opinions on our sport.
In a recent tweet, for example, Macci expressed his opinion, with little hesitation, on the identity of the best forehand of all time (in the men's game): "The best forehand of all time on the ATP Tour has many contenders. But considering the timing and precision of the whole thing, it's an easy decision. No one has delivered the mail and returned the package to sender better than the great Roger Federer."
