Lestienne, Injured in the Back, Forced to End His 2025 Season

Constant Lestienne's season has not been smooth sailing. Currently ranked 202nd in the world, the Frenchman has only played one semifinal this year, which was during his very first tournament in Nouméa.
However, for several months now, the 33-year-old player, who once reached a career-high ranking of 48th in the world, has been battling persistent back injuries that have prevented him from gaining any real momentum.
Absent from the tour since his first-round qualifying loss at Wimbledon against Gauthier Onclin (6-2, 4-6, 6-4), Lestienne confirmed on social media that he will not play again this season.
"Hello everyone, since April, I’ve been struggling with a back injury. That’s why I’ve decided to end my season, hoping to be fully healthy in 2026. Thank you all for your support, and see you soon," Lestienne wrote on his Instagram account.
