Wimbledon: Nine French Players Advance to Second Round of Qualifiers, Herbert, Mayot, and Atmane Eliminated

The first round of men's qualifying at Wimbledon took place on Monday. Sixteen French players were entered in the draw, and the overall outcome was positive.

Arthur Cazaux, Arthur Bouquier, Valentin Royer, Adrian Mannarino, Luca Van Assche, Luka Pavlovic, Ugo Blanchet, Titouan Droguet, and Kyrian Jacquet all managed to advance to the second round.

However, Calvin Hemery, Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Harold Mayot, Terence Atmane, Constant Lestienne, Hugo Grenier, and Antoine Escoffier were eliminated.

On Tuesday, the spotlight turns to the women. Loïs Boisson, France's top-ranked player, will be closely watched in her first-round match against Carson Branstine. Nine other players, including Alizé Cornet, Elsa Jacquemot, and Diane Parry, will also take to the courts at Roehampton.
