Mannarino Enters Main Draw of Los Cabos Tournament After Norrie's Withdrawal
Cameron Norrie had a strong run at Wimbledon. The Brit reached the quarterfinals before falling to two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz. These results will help the current world No. 61 make his return to the top 50.
Now, the focus shifts to preparing for the US Open with the start of the hardcourt season. For this occasion, the ATP 250 tournament in Los Cabos, which usually takes place early in the season, is now being held during the summer.
From July 14 to 19, the Mexican event will take place, but the Brit will ultimately not compete. The 29-year-old, who won the tournament in 2021 and was runner-up the following year, withdrew despite initially being on the entry list.
The 2021 Indian Wells champion has been replaced in the draw by Adrian Mannarino. The Frenchman, currently competing at the Newport Challenger on grass, is expected to participate in the tournament in the coming days.
After Borna Coric, Yoshihito Nishioka, and Ethan Quinn, Norrie is the fourth player to withdraw. For now, Lorenzo Musetti, Andrey Rublev, and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are the top three seeds, and Mannarino is only the second French player in the draw after Quentin Halys.
