At 28 years old, Alexander Zverev has just surpassed the milestone of 160 wins in Masters 1000. An impressive figure that places him 3rd among players still active.
With his victory against Royer (6-4, 6-4) in his opening match at the Shanghai Masters 1000, Alexander Zverev enters an extremely exclusive circle of players who have won 160 or more matches in this elite category.
Moreover, only two names now surpass the German among active players: Novak Djokovic with a titanic record of 415 wins and Stan Wawrinka with 166 victories.
"I know I can still go higher. 160 is just a number, not a limit," Zverev stated with a slight smile during the press conference.
