Medvedev names the player he doesn't want to face in 2026: "Against him, I find myself without a solution"
Daniil Medvedev and Learner Tien - a newcomer on the circuit this season - have faced each other three times in 2025, each time providing a great show for tennis fans.
After these three encounters, it's Tien, 19 years old, who leads with two wins to one. The protégé of Michael Chang won in Melbourne to everyone's surprise in five sets (6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 1-6, 7-6) and in Beijing (5-7, 7-5, 4-0 ret.), before losing in Shanghai (7-6, 6-7, 6-4).
"I don't want to play him in 2026"
In an interview given to Bolshe!, Medvedev named Tien as the player he would like to avoid in the draws next season:
"For one reason or another, we keep meeting... I can sometimes get carried away in certain matches, but against him, I simply find myself without a solution at some point... It's difficult for him too, and that's why I think he doesn't want to play against me either."
