Medvedev on Samrej: "If he plays like this every match, his life can be beautiful, money, girls, casino"
Daniil Medvedev defeated Kasidit Samrej 6-2, 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 in the first round of the Australian Open.
The Russian was very surprised by his opponent's level of play, far from his current ranking (418th on the ATP).
In his trademark style, he declared in a post-match interview: "I watched his matches and didn't see this level, so I was surprised.
If he plays like that every match, his life can be beautiful: money, girls, casino.
If he doesn't play like that every match, he won't have that, or maybe he will but not in tennis, but I hope for him that he can play like that all the time."
