Medvedev on Sinner: "One of the best players I've ever played against".

Daniil Medvedev was soundly beaten by Jannik Sinner on Thursday (6-3, 6-4) and will therefore leave Turin at the group stage. Winner over De Minaur but beaten by Fritz and Sinner, the Russian will not see the semi-finals.
Having played a serious match against the world number 1, Medvedev was simply unable to find the solutions to thwart a very impressive Sinner.
Reflecting on this latest defeat to the hungry Italian, the world number 4 made no secret of the fact, insisting on Sinner's level of play: "Look, he's hardly lost a match this year. If you want to win a title, you're going to face him at some point. It's not easy to beat him. Lots of people try. A lot of people fail.
There's one guy who does it a little more often than the others, and that's Carlos. As I said in Saudi Arabia, where he really surprised me, I didn't know he could reach this level. He's perhaps one of the best players I've ever played against.
I've played the Big 4 (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray), and maybe the speed wasn't the same. So yes, I'm going to try and work on it in pre-season. Maybe at some point he'll lose his confidence and start missing balls.
Otherwise, everyone, not just me, expects the next few years to be very, very difficult, because he's so young."
