Medvedev on the calendar: "There shouldn't be an ATP 250 after Paris-Bercy".
Asked about the ATP calendar in a press conference, Daniil Medvedev admitted that he had already adapted his schedule so as not to play too many tournaments throughout the season.
Still in contention at the Masters, following his victory over Alex De Minaur, the Russian gave his views on the controversies surrounding the ATP calendar: "I've already had a good response this year by trying to play only the big tournaments. I think there should be more of them.
It's these tournaments, like the Masters 1000, that make you a Top 10 player. I think the calendar should revolve around them.
There shouldn't be an ATP 250 after Paris-Bercy, where Casper, Andrey and Alex have to play and then withdraw from the tournament.
I remember Rafa mentioning that once. The season should end earlier, and then you put on the 250 tournaments for those who want to keep playing. If you're good enough, you finish the season in October and play the Masters.
