After a tough battle against Wong, Arthur Cazaux benefited from his compatriot Halys' withdrawal to enter the main draw of the ATP 500 in Beijing.

Facing Shang in the first round and struggling with a blister in the opening set, the Frenchman showed great resilience to win after 2 hours and 40 minutes with a score of 0-6, 7-6, 7-5, thus qualifying for the second round of the Chinese tournament.

Although his journey had been heroic up to that point, the world No. 80 ATP player faced another tough challenge against the Miami Open winner: Jakub Mensik. Despite saving 8 break points and creating some opportunities, the Montpellier native ultimately fell in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.

On the other hand, the Czech player (seeded 7th) will face Australian Alex de Minaur in a highly intriguing quarterfinal.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
