Monfils defeats Diaz Acosta to reach the semi-finals in Auckland

Gaël Monfils defeated Facundo Diaz Acosta 6-3, 6-1 in the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 in Auckland.

In good form, the Frenchman will face American hopeful Nishesh Basavareddy in the semi-finals, his 73rd career match.

He qualified earlier in the day against Alex Michelsen 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.

A good preparation for the Australian Open, where Monfils will face Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
