ATP Australian Open draw: Djokovic and Alcaraz in the same game
The Australian Open men's draw has been unveiled, and it's full of surprises. Novak Djokovic will have his work cut out for him, as he has been drawn in the same section as Carlos Alcaraz.
This means that the two men could face each other in the quarter-finals.
The Serb will face Nishesh Basavareddy in the first round, while the Spaniard will play Alexander Shevchenko.
Jannik Sinner, for his part, is in Alex de Minaur's section - a more forgiving draw - and will face Nicolas Jarry in the first round.
Alexander Zverev will face Lucas Pouille from the start, with a potential Round of 16 against Arthur Fils and a quarter-final against Ugo Humbert or Casper Ruud.
Notable first-rounders are Mannarino-Khachanov, Berrettini-Norrie, Tsitsipas-Michelsen, Zhang-Rune, Cerundolo-Bublik, Monfils-Mpetshi Perricard, Bautista-Agut-Shapovalov and Tiafoe-Rinderknech.
