Alors que la Tchèque s'était qualifiée pour ses premières WTA Finals, l'actuelle 8e joueuse mondiale a annoncé devoir faire l'impasse sur ce prestigieux rendez-vous, faute à un poignet encore trop douloureux.
C'est Sakkari qui prend donc sa place.
