Müller bitter after his elimination in Paris: I play a sport where, with one shot, you can get through...

Beating Félix Auger-Aliassime was within his grasp. But after more than three hours of battle, Alexandre Müller saw victory slip away. "I didn't lack anything, just a bit of success," he whispered, between lucidity and bitterness.

Close to causing an upset against Félix Auger-Aliassime, Alexandre Müller leaves the Rolex Paris Masters with regrets. The Alsatian lost 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 after more than three hours of combat, despite leading by a break in the final set.

Just two days after securing his first career victory in the tournament, Müller this time let a certain frustration show during the press conference:

"No, I don't think I lacked anything, just a bit of success. I think I dominated practically the entire match. I play a sport where, unfortunately, with one shot, which is the serve, you can hold on for a whole match and get through. Today, it's a bit hard to accept."
