Müller Defeats Lehecka in a Thriller
Jiri Lehecka’s poor form continues. Facing Alexandre Müller this Wednesday in the first round of the Rome Masters 1000, he lost 2-6, 6-3, 7-6.
The match was disrupted by rain, halting play for about an hour. In the third set, both players had chances to gain the upper hand, as evidenced by the 4 breaks and the 2 match points missed by Lehecka.
Ultimately, it was Müller who prevailed in the decisive tie-break, winning 7-5, which ended on a double fault by Lehecka.
The Frenchman will next face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the following round.
